Avalon Sues CabanNeives Over SatireCraft -- Here Is the Verdict

The Avalon v. CabanNeives trial took place today, judged by aGlitteryNarwhal.

Edegg argued that Caban's false statements are his right to "speak freely". He argued that SatireCraft is entertainment, and that there were CivEarthers who found it hillarious. He argued that he should not be censored because of the "? people of avalon" being offended. He said people do not take it for news, but comments from people to Charlie and Tqtal say otherwise.

Tqtal pointed out that satire should be clear, and that Caban did not do that. All he asked for is an apology, and Edegg said it is "censorship in [his] own interest."

Tqtal and Charlie proved to us that they are not the same person by fighting each other.

Edegg presented his evidence saying that his client is innocent. He called a witness, ladiesman24417. Ladiesman was first asked to prove his username and whether he is chancellor of the US. Tqtal objected to the relevance. He asked Ladiesman how long he knew Caban, and he said 2 decades. LM said Caban never defamed and that he has a strong sense of humor, and that he pokes fun for everyone to enjoy, taking jabs at Tqtally in the process.

Edegg then asked Tqtally a question, where he brought Tqtally's maturity into question, saying it is immature for "bringing this case against a player for making a joke." He then went on saying Tqtal should be demoted for being immature based on a 2017 satire article. It was brought up that he got 10 votes in a nation of 20 people for UN, and Edegg then claimed that only Corsica voted for Charlie, and US citizens then calle dhim out saying he voted for Charlie.

Edegg claimed that there is "an agenda" and that Caban couldn't/wouldn't hurt a fly.

Tqtally called ChqrlieBee to the stand, and questioned him, with Edegg then claiming that Chqrlie might actually be Brreeze. Brreeze is, in fact, not Tqtal or Brreeze. Edegg asked both Tqtal and Charlie to stand next to each other, and said to "notice the eye pattern, and the hair pattern, and the positioning of the buttons and the boots." Judge Narwhal pointed out that they may just shop at the same store.

Edegg argued that this means that a server staff member is not able to take a joke, arguing the article was satire.

After the evidence was all presented, the final verdict was that CabanNeives needed to acknowledge the article as satire, and Tqtal needed to explain how "awesome and loveable" CabanNeives is. CabanNeives is considered to be a very well-respected member of the CivEarth community. People love to see him out and about in his orange suit as he walks along all the world's beaches and plays CivEarth on his laptop at the same time.

The case ended as a victory for everyone except for Edegg who received a death penalty.
