CivEarth Unveils Exciting Changes v5 Annual Reset
M1d4y • June 06, 2024
It happened! 🎉Civ is ready to make headlines once again! After the unprecedentedly short-lived season of v4, v5 released just a (dreaded) month after, on June 1, 2024, 3:00 PM (EST). What Changed?Economy had a huge overhaul. /shop was a barren wasteland that catered to blocks that only sold for as high as 10 cents! However, as of June 2, 2024, 8:30 PM (EST), an ore section of /shop was added and now buys diamonds for $4. Quests were reformatted, most notably daily quests, which now work on a tier based system. Jobs were affected, but honestly, I have no idea what any of it means, so I’d recommend doing your own research on that. Supposedly, fishing was nerfed, “No more fishing millionares 👿,” said Derpzy on May 31, 2024, 6:15 PM (EST), yet I know someone who made $150k+ from fishing the last few days cough ladiesman cough. HighlightsDay 1, lots of things ought to happen. Can’t speak for anyone else, but here’s the list of Terranova’s accomplishments: SweatyStuff2406 was the first player (non staff) to log on for launch. M1dnightWolf36 & SweatyStuff2406 was the first server marriage, with the wedding held at spawn. Terranova was the first town; it’s settled in North America. Odyssey was the first nation, its capital being Terranova. BugsThe third day after launch, players noticed a bug with xp bottles, which caused a major loss in experience. Since the daily restart, xp bottles have been fixed. Though not as detrimental, milk buckets are not able to be consumed from the player’s hotbar (can still drink from off-hand), a bug still yet to be fixed. If you run into any issues, make the appropriate ticket on the CivEarth discord server and refrain from flooding staff’s DMs or any chats in general. Civ staff are hard at work addressing current issues, and keep in mind, some fixes take priority over others. Be patient, and remember, July 1st is staff appreciation day! |
